My 2025 Productivity Setup

2025 is right around the corner! If you’re like me, you’ve been thinking about how you’re going to come into 2025. What goals should I aim for? How ambitious should they be? Being a mentally disabled autistic person, I have to be very aware of my limits. I’ve tried and tried and failed again and again to do the things I want to do. But each day, week, month, and year I get up and try again. As the famous behavioral psychologist B.F. Skinner said: “A failure is not always a mistake, it may simply be the best one can do under the circumstances. The real mistake is to stop trying.”
I wanted to share my productivity setup for this upcoming year. Below are some pictures and descriptions of what I’m trying to accomplish:

The above images show off my daily to do list notebook. I got several of these 100-page notebooks from Barnes and Nobles. The left side is lined, and the right side is blank. I like to put my established habits on the left side and my aspirational goals on the right side. I have another set of these notebooks (this version has both pages lined) that I keep in every space I use. One at my work desk, one at my desktop computer, one for my reading chair and embarrassingly enough one in the bathroom! As you can see, one of the tasks is to “prepare tomorrows to do list.” It’s quick win for me.

Here’s my laptop space. It usually holds my work laptop but when I’m not working, I switch out to my personal laptop. I’m quite blind so I went with quite a big laptop screen! The screen all the way on the right is a portable monitor. This is my first time using one of those. Previously I didn’t like using laptops because it had only one screen to work with (my desktop computer has two). Until my recent job, I also didn’t realize how I could setup multiple monitors at home to work with my laptop. There’s a special device you plug the laptop and monitors into to make them all work in sync. Add an external mouse and keyboard and it’s just like a desktop setup!
One of my productivity habits is to have a water bottle at various locations I plan to be. So, there’s a water bottle here at my workspace, another one with my medications in the bathroom and another one for around the apartment. It can be hard to remember to hydrate myself!

Above is a picture of my new rowing machine! I keep it on a sturdy yoga mat in front of the living room television. That way I can watch a show while I’m rowing. The movements involved in this exercise really speak to me as an autistic individual. I like the idea of swaying forward and backwards as if I’m stimming. It doesn’t feel like a workout at all!

This here is a habit tracker calendar. It lets you track daily, weekly or monthly habits. It comes blank so if you miss a month, it’s no big deal. On my daily to do list notebook, I have a reminder to update this calendar for yesterday’s activities.
Below are two images from my bullet journal. Here I keep track of my weight and waist measurements on the left image and on the right image I keep track of what happened that month. There’s limited space so I have to be concise on what I put there.

Here’s my reading rocking chair I put together with a comfy heating blanket on top! I figured that I read so much I ought to have a dedicated reading chair. Previously I was reading on the futon. I read a lot so it was important for me to have a dedicated space for it.

Here’s the journal I’ll be using for 2025. The cover is one of Vincent Van Gogh’s famous paintings. The notebooks I keep around the house also have Van Gogh covers.

Here’s my whiteboard I keep in the computer room. I have an older one next to my workspace. This is where I write down the upcoming week events and my current goals.

Another calendar! This one is for tracking events and appointments. The two calendars are kept on the wall next to my workspace.
That concludes the walkthrough of my productivity setup for 2025! I hope I gave you some helpful ideas.
