Around 60% of our body is made up of water. It’s not clear how much water we’re supposed to drink every day. Some recommend your daily water intake to be eight 8 ounces of water a day. You also get water from fruits and vegetables. Drinking coffee and tea can count towards your water intake. You need to drink more water when we’re in hot climates, physically active, running a fever or experiencing diarrhea or vomiting.
Some sources recommend drinking water 30 minutes before meals. Others recommend drinking water during meals to make you feel fuller and avoid overeating. You can also get more water by carrying a watter bottle around with you throughout the day and refilling it as needed. Some water bottles are big enough to contain 64 ounces of water.
I have a sailor jupiter glass water bottle with a bamboo lid that I keep with me at my bedside and when I’m at the computer. We have a brita filter so the water tastes better. I would highly recommend drinking more water to keep your mind and body in good working order!
